Bruce E. Baker

Bruce E. Baker is a historian specializing in the American South in the nineteenth century. He is the author and editor of nine books and many journal articles and essays. Raised in upstate South Carolina, Baker now lives in the Scottish Borders. Some of his other recent writing has concerned the cotton trade and waterfront crime in New Orleans.
